Its kinda in real life. I say hello, but people who arent my friends wont answer back...

Anyways; Ive had this issue with one ive been talking to but hasnt been my friend on facebook. Ill try to the best of my abilities to explain the problem, but its kinda weird, so i can understand if its understandable - even if at the end it almost sounds ... ghostly? Ill start with the trouble first, then explain the things i feel is really weird after the line i "will draw"

Okay, the problem is this:

Imagine you have 5 chat tabs open. Try to imagine that you need to look 30 (or something) messages back at each of them
You have been in contact with each of the people the same amount of time (the last week)

One chat box, for me, is so super weird! If i try to drag the "button" between the arrows (up and down) to scroll, it it looks like i just press it instead of holding it - so it wont react to me dragging it. The up and down scroll arrows (top left and top right on the chat screen) is just barely functional, like it will register 1/5-6 left mouse clicks (same both with laptop mousepad and mouse + same problem with another laptop)

And this just happens to ONE person! Ive never had any problem scrolling through conversations with any other person :S Its so weird that it happens with only this person :S Ive tried my best to make it explainable to myself (cause i dont believe for a second that its her :P)
Ive tried to have just one chat box open at a time (same problem, with her; the problem is there, with any other (that i talk to regulary at least, the problem is non existant) and ive tried having her on several different places in the chat box placements, and its only that box, no one elses

It didnt irritate me at first, because the others were friends on facebook and "the problem" was a tinder date that wanted us to remain non-friends until we met... so i figured it was something weird with "friends vs non-friends chat"

But now that we are friends, the problem is stil there.

Have anyone else experienced something weird like this?

and to get to the weird part. Because im pretty sure this stuff is some coding error or whatever. Maybe the name creates some kind of error in the chat box system? (I have no idea what im talking about)


I tried to explain to her this weird stuff, but she is not too familiar with computers. She has a tablet and a phone.

Anyways: Heres whats bugging me: It happens VERY often, i mean, kinda like 20/30 times i try to scroll through the chat. (btw - its the chat tabs that pops up at the bottom of the screen) so i figured it would be real easy to prove with a video.

Im not familiar with the names, but: If youre on a computer, you probably have this scrolling option on the right side of the screen. Top right - up arrow. Bottom right - down arrow. And theres this "box" that changes size based on how much you can scroll. This box is what i talk about when i try to explain something you can click and hold and move up and down to scroll --- since i dont know the name of it, ill just refer to it as the "box" from now on :)

So i figured this would be easy to prove: I mean, it happens so often. (I have a friend who has seen it too, he blame my laptop, but since it happened on my old laptop as well, i figure i need someone smarter than him to help me solve it :P)

This problem happens with both the mousepad and the usb-mouse that i use for gaming

Imagine this scenario. I experience the problem and i know about it, so i try to test how it works. I try to drag the "box" several times, but it does not respond (it looks like its being clicked on). I move over to another chat box, the problem isnt there - i move back to the chat box of the the girl i talk to and... same problem. I wait 30 seconds, still same problem. I remove my fingers from the pad/mouse and bring up my camera - sometimes the problem is still there, but not as consistent and it just seems gone when the camera is on the screen, haha :P but it seems like whenever i try to record this stuff, its gone.
Its not a thing that occurs with anyone else either :S Im thinking its some weird bug that happens because of the exact length and characters of her name, but again... i dont know shit about coding.

I also tried to contact facebook about a week ago, but they havent responded yet. I also know im on the losing side of this, since im having problems recording it (kinda like when people say they see UFOs?) but im really trying to get to the bottom of this, which has become a sort of mystery to me xD
