I dunno, for some reason when I got to Gerudo town, I lost interest in the desert area entirely and went to Rito village to do that divine beast instead. The Gerudo town divine beast was pretty interesting, too. Thunderblight Ganon caught me off guard a bit at first, but I had a couple electricity resisting clothing articles and that made it pretty easy.
