People on those positions are held to a certain standard. Youre allowed mistakes, but not something so basic like that, especially when he comes hot from a trail of bullshit (alternative facts?) The same thing why most of the country is against Trump.

First, it was an incredibly stupid statement. It is factually wrong. Hitler did use chemical weapons, frequently. It is an incredibly touchy subject for those directly affected, and that upsets countries like Isreal. Second, it was a ridiculous blunder that didn't make any actual point. Not only is it just invoking Godwin's law, but it's literally using the whole 'Hitler Ate Sugar' argument.

The whole thing is a gaffe on such an incredible level that it's simultaneously hilarious and embarrassing for the entire country.

No, that is not what chemical weapons means. The definition is pretty clear. It has to be, otherwise literally everything would be considered chemical weapons (even rocks and sticks are made up of chemicals).

He's the spokesman for the Trump presidency and defending their attack on Syria he said that Assad was worse than Hitler because Hitler didn't use chemical weapons on his enemies

Assholes need to have similar names but I was responding to different things. The reason why people associate the Trump presidency with nazism is because it's reactionary hyperbole sells and is what social media has become, and because of the association and rise of popularity with guys like Richard Spencer(and his connection with Stephen Miller is disheartening, at best). It's stupid and lazy using nazi as a wide spanning insult regardless, and comparisons are such.

Yes, he's a blowhard and constantly spouts inaccuracies, but he has the hardest job in the White House. He has to go out to the press every day and defend this shit-show dumpster fire that is the Trump Presidency. But he's like Trump, he speaks off the cuff and emotionally and will say anything to prove his point, true or not. That makes him unfit for his job, and I think he should be dismissed. But not because of this or any other specific thing he's said.
