I honestly can't get enough of this game right now (or the soundtrack). ~30 hours in, finished the second palace. Loving the social aspect more than I ever thought I would (which makes me feelsbadman that I never gave P3/P4 a chance years ago).

All in all, I have to say I'm exceedingly pleased with my first foray into the Persona series. So glad my wife surprised me with this/a PS4 for my 30th birthday a couple weeks ago.

They needed a hell of a lot of conditions for that plan to work but I felt everything done was consistent with how Palaces and the Metaverse were presented earlier so I was willing to eat it.

Well, the whole cognitive thing was even a stretch. How did Akechi end up exactly in the same spot in the Cognitive world? If they thought of that then why not just go to the center of wherever the palaces would be in real life and spawn at the treasure? How is there a phone signal deep underground, let alone GPS? How did Akechi exit the cognitive world without knowing he was there in the first place? Why are guns allowed in this secret place? Wasn't there a camera in the room earlier, so wouldn't they notice it wasn't a suicide? Etc..

I assumed distortions affected where things were placed compared to the real world. Palaces were the centre of the distortion so everything could be jumbled, but the interrogation room was outside of the main casino distortion and was thus pretty normal. It's also why Akechi didn't notice he even walked into the Metaverse.

I have no idea about the GPS. That's something that stood out to me.

It was some kind of secret torture chamber so I never even thought about whether or not guns would be allowed. Akechi having a gun is obvious but the other guy was a guard so maybe they thought MC was that dangerous, which is just a cover to set up the suicide.

I thought maybe Futaba would have worked some of he hacking magic or the camera didn't even work to begin with. I mean, having video evidence at all of police brutality would probably be a bad idea, even if you didn't plan on releasing or keeping it >_>

Most people seem to find the 5th one worse than the 4th one.

The 5th palace just takes forever and has a lot of back tracking in all 3 parts of it. It's just tedious to go through even though the setting is cool.

I was under the impression certain spots in the Metaverse distortions aligned with certain spots in the real world, but since Sae's Palace was an exact match outside of the casino, which they were, it had the same layout placement? About phone signals and GPS, I don't know that at all. With Akechi entering and exiting, no one notices entering/exiting the Metaverse unless it's completely different, like a giant castle instead of a school. Even then actual entry they didn't notice, just that something was there that shouldn't be. With the underground rooms, it was 100% the same so he wouldn't notice, same with Sae. With guns, pretty much everyone there was in the palm of Shido's hand. Could be a simple matter that no one even checked Akechi, since he's Shido's right hand man. Same with the camera in the room, they established quickly it was useless. Likely didn't even work.

I questioned that, and my SO pointed out it was initiated via Futaba,remotely, and not the protag or Akechi's phone, so their phone wouldn't have had the notification. For them, the app wasn't on.
