That makes me wonder if the port's broken in a manner that's frying the cables. Something's wrong in that system that isn't the cables.

Where did you get these cables from?
I bought 5 hdmi cables on Amazon a few years back for only $1.20 each. My DVD player had a bad connection but they all worked fine. Even gave a couple of them away to friends that needed one. --- Nobody is perfect. Well, one guy was but we killed him. ... Copied to Clipboard!
