I've had the idea knocking in my head to try and reach out to an indie dev near the launch of some lesser-known indie game to see if my Youtube channel has actually grown enough for them to respond positively to the idea. The other day, I check the Switch eshop, and wouldn't you know it, a neat little indie game that is exceedingly relevant to my interest just launched!

The game is "Vroom in the night sky," a Switch-exclusive Japanese indie title wherein you play as a magical girl. Driving a motorcycle. In the sky. So really the game was made for me.

I'm not sure if the video I end up doing will be a proper review or something more comedic (or maybe just, you know, a comedic review), but whatever it ends up being this is pretty exciting. :>

Congrats! My channel withered out. Once I get a new computer I'll start making more videos again, just for fun though. I'd love to be abke to do what you do, but I don't have it in me.

I was the editor on a now-defunct website myself and some others ran as a hobby more than anything. We got free stuff for about two years. Not every company was on board, but WB, CD Projekt RED, and Focus Home Interactive were definitely the most friendly major publishers. It was pretty cool just having contacts and getting stuff early in some cases. Nintendo helped with some small, local charity event upon request and some of our people and one of their local reps were present. I think they might have given away a Wii U or something, I don't remember. There was a Mario Kart tourney as well.
