Hound Dog's was fantastic. It really did put the regular pizza places to shame. I was allowed to pick the toppings, so I went with pepperoni, bacon, and red onion (my go-to combination for another pretty good pizza place around here). We also got nachos as an appetizer and holy crap, was it huge! It was like a small mountain of lettuce, tomato, cheese, meat, and tortilla chips underneath. They definitely could have arranged it better since you had to grab the edge of the chips and pull them out, but they were damn tasty otherwise.
Also noticed something odd on the menu: Coffee. I looked through the whole menu, but literally the only thing I saw that might have gone well with it was their only dessert, a brownie. They also had a heavy wooden door that almost looked like it could have come from a medieval castle. I then started coming up with ideas on what a medieval-themed pizza place might call their food. The white sauce pizza could be called the White Knight, the regular spicy pizza could be called the Spicy Jester, the medium spicy would be called the Fire-breathing Dragon, and the super-hot pizza would be only available as part of a contest called The Torture Chamber. Anyone who could survive the Torture Chamber (meaning eat the whole pizza in a certain time limit) would be "knighted" (given a novelty hat and put on a wall of fame).
For sides, we'd have a kebab called the Jouster, breadsticks called Peasant Bread, and cheesy bread called Royal Bread.
