This is a pretty dumb rule. If I want to remember that someone is a dumb fucking illiterate who likes to be prejudiced I shouldn't have to censor myself lol. Its weird because if I posted my tags for some of you people is probably get warned, but I can't call someone a dumb fuck.

The profanity filter is a redundant concept anyway. By the time you're 13, you've more than likely heard all the words that GameFAQs filters, and have a pretty good idea of how they're spelled. You know what the asterisks mean, why bother hiding them?

well they disabled it, dunno if you know this but you can go into your profile and turn it off now. The only words that are still banned are words that will get you warned if you even use the asterisks for them now. I think it might be in your advanced settings.

I understand profanity filters in video games because that actually affects the game's ratings (ESRB / PEGI / etc) but there is no reason to have one on a message board outside of hate speech slurs.
