I knew the kid in high schoo. hung out a small handful of times in middle school and were basically acquaintances.

Anyways, I was waiting on her, and I knew who it was but had no idea she would remember me, a kid she met maybe two times ever.

She asked me when I graduated and said I knew her son, so I played dumb and ask who her son was, so she said it. I knew this guy had ODed, but I kinda wanted to stray from that.

I said i was sorry, and it was a shock to us all.

I guess thats a fairly canned, if normal response? I really didnt know what to say.
