Am I actually going to get pissed if I try one, or can I accept that it's difficult and say "try again, back to the fire with all my items lost" (or whatever happens)?

Death is relatively common and the only thing you truly lose are consumed items (there aren't many, anyways).

The walk back to the boss is usually the most frustrating, especially when you're already a little frustrated and try your best to just sprint past them all.

not gonna lie, it's pretty fucking frustrating. it's not too brutal in terms of losing shit when you die but you'll die a lot and i have been tempted to throw my controller a few times

There are very few true moments of frustration, where it feels like you are dying over and over without making any progress.

They're mostly in Dark Souls 2.

They're mostly in Dark Souls 2.

Shrine of Amana made me want to quit gaming and go live in the woods somewhere

Every DS game has at least 1 area that's frustrating. In general though I wouldn't call it that.

If you're careful and not rushing ahead, then you'll do fine. There is a lot of trial and error, so you'll learn from mistakes and eventually "git gud".

That said, I still find Dark Souls 2 to be the most frustrsting, because the game tends to throw mobs at you that can easily outpower you.
