i got 5 honey bbq and 5 spicy garlic

mando got some sweet sahara spice ones that were the special wings

and we got some potato wedges to share

we went to buffalo wild wings

the problem is that when i got my wings they had literally like two dabbles of sauce on them so i told the server i'm not trying to be an asshole but can i get these resauced? and she said she likes her wings really wet too so she understood. after that it was all good. they even gave me a free chicken wing to replace the dry one i had eaten.

Honestly, at this point, I wouldn't be letting him out back alone, regardless of whether or not any discussion with the neighbors takes place.

Get a leash and take him on walks to do his business. And of course, if they're ever gunning for Ernie, make sure you protect yourself as well. Pick him up and run inside immediately.

You don't know what kind of owners these are, and playing or not, big dogs can be dangerous.

I'm saying this as a huge dog lover.

yeah my boyfriend and i open the door to make sure he's not back there first and then we let him out while we watch to do his business.

yeah my landlord said pretty much what i thought they'd say. that i'd need to contact animal control or go on the county assessor website to see who owns the home since it's a rental and possibly talk to them if the people refuse or neglect to do anything about the dog.

Go over and talk to the owner about it like a reasonable, mature adult and request that they teach their dog to stay in its own yard.

No animal attacks without reason so if you attack it first and it bites you in defense, YOU are the one to blame. Not the dog.

There are these little devices that create high pitched noise that animals don't like. You can buy them to hold in your hand or there are ones to implant in the ground.

dogs will bite for any reason. there will be dogs that are friendly for years and years that will bite or attack randomly. it happens frequently.

Oh some animals definitely do. They are put down either before or after doing serious harm. Most are fine and will only attack with reasonable provocation.

Then you encounter dogs that will absolutely attack you for trying to get them to do things they don't want. Sometimes simple things like putting on a collar, or touching their ears. Never underestimate how much a previous rough upbringing and poor treatment can lead to quickly triggered violent and/or destructive behavior. It's not the animal's fault they had a bad hand in life. But it is a huge danger and liability to keep any animal like that.

Yeah thankfully even though I was only able to leave a note they stopped leaving their dogs outside when they aren't home and I think they even have leashed the big one if they have put them outside.

I hope the note solves the issue TC. But yes, I think you should have a right to defend against you or your very awesome fur child/family member.
