About three days ago on the sidebar of Youtube my subscriptions stopped displaying new content notifications (ie the number of videos that have been posted since you last checked their channel). Has this happened to anyone else?

Nope, that didn't do anything either. This is the most bizarre thing, but thanks for the suggestions.

It's a Youtube issue. When they did an update a couple of months back they screwed up some algorhythm of theirs that affects subscriptions. Some people suddenly found themselves unsubscribed to some channels & had to re-subscribe, a few channels were just outright deleted (1 Youtuber I follow had his gaming channel seft delete & he had to have Youtube reinstate it), and then there is the issue you have. The fix for your issue is to click the little bell icon right next to the subscribe button, the bell click notifies Youtube that you want notifications sent whenever a Youtuber releases new content.

I'm gonna try this but I don't think this is my issue. I never got bell notifications when people posted new videos, I just had a little number appear next to their name in my subscription box. Those are gone.

EDIT: Yep, I can already say that this was not my issue. Just got a bell notification from someone and the number didn't appear next to their name.
