I filled up tonight, and decided not to turn my car off and just fill up, although I typically always do...but then I thought, why do I do that?

Yeah, although apparently most nozzles have "vapor recovery systems."

It's a very, very minimal risk. But still an unnecessary risk.

I would put money on your car never blowing up for your entire life if you never turned your car off while filling up, although it might technically be possible. That being said... better safe than sorry.

How should I put it? Life is like video footage.
Hard to edit. Directors, they never understood it.

This was the first time I've ever done it, and it was more like I didn't even think about it when it happened.

Plus I always roll my driver window down so if I need to get into my car I don't have to open the door.
