Anyone else dealing with that?

A lot of people in the Springs have been evacuated, and a bunch of homes were destroyed in Fort Collins. The direction the wind blows the ash changes when you can have windows open, pretty inconvenient during the heat.

I have a friend that lives in Vail and he's starting to fear for his life.

Well, some friends of our were evacuated today, so They're driving to stay with us now.

I guess houses have started to go down, and the whole southern end of the city is getting filled with smoke, so visibility is zero.

Had a good view of the one south of Boulder from my office today. A coworker spotted the smoke, and we were watching it pretty much from the very start of it.

What, you think ponies grow on trees?
What kind of question is that? It's a large, four-legged mammal...

No, but there was a relatively decent sized one near where I lived a few months ago in Eagle Mountain (Utah). Had to evacuate everyone...up to the street I lived on. So I wouldn't have to have left, and would have been fine! (Smoky, but fine)

The Flying W Ranch burned to the ground. It was a big tourist attraction and they did a lot of community service.

It probably doesn't mean anything to people that aren't from this state. The best comparison I can make is that this is like hearing the golden gate bridge collapsed or something.

I'm in the Springs, a few miles from where our city is burning. I haven't been evacuated yet, and I think I'm probably far enough away to where I won't have to (knock on wood). I have a few friends that have had to evacuate. It honestly feels kind of apocolyptic, smoke is thick as fog, ashes are falling all over the place. Just hoping they can get this contained but the conditions aren't good...

Yeah, looking at the evacuation area, it's everything west of I-25. I don't think it will be able to jump the interstate, so most of the city should be safe.

But Tesla's lab, the Braodmoore, Glenn Eyrie, and Cheyenne Mountain zoo are all on the other side of the interstate.
