It's rare that I go to a concert and an artist plays all my favorite songs but she did it! Great interaction with the crowd, funny, super nice but shorter than I would have hoped. The only downside is I had to make the trip to Portland and driving in a city is terrible for every reason imaginable. But I'm back!

Best concert you've been to?

Nine Inch Nails concert in Washington State several years back, while I was traveling. Spectacular crowd, Trent wasn't having one of his "I hate the world in a completely boring" days (seriously, sometimes his industrial schtick of being required to act all loathing has just gone too far and he's boring... sorry, Trent, your voice is still the stuff of legends) and the set list was terrific. He was promoting Year Zero at the time, which I actually think is an amazing album, but he had the good sense to play old faves like "Head Like A Hole", "Closer", "The Becoming" and "Reptile", too.

He also pseudo-ended with "Something I Can Never Have" in a cross between its original and its "Still" sub-album form, and it was excellent.

Less of a concert and more of a DJ set, but probably Sander van Doorn and Super8+Tab at a club last year, or Tiesto, Gareth Emery and Bassjackers this past New Year's Eve.

Best actual concert with a band and all that jazz would be Muse during the Resistance Tour. I obviously would have loved to have seen them while they were touring a better album, but they still put on a hell of a show and I loved the performance although I wasn't a huge fan of the album itself.
