Not in general, just saying Gen I needs to have a lot of its crap stuff die at this point because the other generations are suffering as a result of crappy nostalgia for dumb pokes.

i can understand wanting Caterpie and Metapod out, but Gen 1 in general?
It's not that I just hate Gen I or anything, but I feel like in general (and especially around here) it gets way, way too much love. There are some fantastic Pokemon in that generation, but I like a couple of the other generations just as much, and I see what in my interpretation is just so many subpar Gen I Pokemon getting away scot-free just because there are a few savers on B8 who will go to any length to save anything from Red and Blue.

Most of the other eliminations in this contest have been legitimately awful pokémon. Gen I didn't deserve to fall to some of that stuff for the most part.

Well, don't get too ahead of yourselves. I have no delusions of thinking Gen I won't sweep the finals, but I'll eventually live to see a round where some of its terrible additions go the way they should have already gone!
