This is my impression so far as well.

But aside from all the trailers I feel like I don't know very much about the actual plot of the movie. Only that she is taking a stand and taking her own life into her hands.

Where the plot goes from there is a mystery which is how I want it to be until I watch the movie. Might be good, might be bad, but nothing I've seen so far makes me think it's going to rival some of Pixar's best. But we'll see.

The trailers have been terrible in this regard.

The trailers didn't make it look all that great but they also didn't give too much away. Which is what I liked. I had no idea what was going to happen while watching the movie and that's how it should be.
