I try to get them for whoever I can. One needs a Chingling and it says it shows up in the field, but I haven't seen it wild yet.

The area with Chingling doesn't show up until you develop Illusio's other area in the post-game. A lot of Pokemon can't be caught until post-game.

I see. I don't think I saw a post-game mention for Chingling on serebii, but maybe I missed it. The enemies are getting more evolved Pokemon for me right now. I shouldn't have any problem with Nixtorm or Valora, but I don't think I have anything with Dark type attacks at all right now so Spectra might be a bit more challenging.

Not directly, but if you look here, it shows that Chingling shows up in the Lv. 2 Snowy Mountain area. That area is supposed to open up once the Floating Stone reaches Lv. 2, and since it starts out at Lv. 2 yet there's still no Snowy Mountain, I just assume it won't appear until post-game.

Hey, look. DDJ hated this game, too.

EDIT: I seriously don't get his review. He complains that the game is too easy, but then complains about warriors existing/calls how you recruit them 'convoluted and frustrating" and wants a much more simplified version of... Just throwing Pokeballs. ...Why?

And since he says there are only 8 extra episodes, it sounds like he barely even did anything in the post-game, which is pretty much where all of the real content is. The main-game is a glorified tutorial in comparison.

Ha, just started Hideyoshi's story and one of the first two warriors I recruited was the one that had a Haxorus. GG every other nation. Also it's hilarious that Hideyoshi is the star, but he only has his Chimchar whereas Motonari now has his Serperior, Sceptile, Lilligant, Whimsicott, Leavanny, and Carnivine.

Yes, I prepared way more than what would ever be necessary, I'm sure.

You will probably stomp a lot. My team is mostly evolved, but nothing feels very strong. It literally took Yukimura's Charmeleon 5-6 turns to kill a Zubat in the Viperia boss battle.

When you go into boss fights, do you make sure your energy is at max? If you didn't already figure it out, energy levels affect your stats. It's also handy to be at max when you're trying to evolve something.

Also wow, the Guardian Charm is so overpowered. Definitely worth buying from the traveling salesmen. Even at 15%, Hideyoshi's Chimchar solo'd a map with two warriors and two wild Pokemon with it. I wish I had bought more in the main story...

Ahh, I'm about to suffer my first loss due to carelessness. And also because I forgot the rocks in Cragspur obey gravity and killed two of my own people on accident. >_>

Yeah my energy is at max. Yukimura's Charmeleon is just really weak and it doesn't help the Zubat was gaining HP from not moving from a banner on the stage. That level in general was pretty annoying.

The post-game is definitely more challenging. The enemies seem to build links faster, and I think I took too much time trying to grind up Chimchar. This should still be completely doable, but I might have a couple more losses.

Augh, the Steel battlefield is the worst. I would've won, but the goddamn crane picked up Boldore and threw it halfway across the field, and in the following turn, I got poisoned by a Whirlipede. By the time I managed to traverse over to Boldore, I had 1 HP left... I actually still could've won in the off chance Boldore's attack missed, but nope. F*** the Steel battlefield.

Did the download for the grass and water Warlords. I haven't evolved their pokemon yet, but just looking at serebii it looks like Serperior will suck in this too.

Yeah, it's still pretty lame. Sceptile has the same move, but its attack is higher, so it's less sucky with it. Lilligant kicks ass, though. Sure, it can't move after using Petal Dance, but it can still attack again if something moves up next to it.

I feel like Fire Spin might be the best attack in the game, making Infernape and Chandelure super awesome. Give one of them a Guardian Charm and they will solo everything. Everything.

I am still on the main story because I keep jobbing to Kenshin like a loser. >_> His whatever the heck is a friggin' beast, and the girl's Spheal is pretty tough as well. I MIGHT be able to win a battle of attrition, but they keep outmaneuvering me with the banners or just walling me until time expires.

On a side note, am I supposed to be able to download anything besides Motonari at this point?

You can actually skip Kenshin if you want to try fighting Shingen instead. Beat one and you get both nations.

I haven't made any conquering progress, but I did get Dewott and Servine. I might evolve them before taking on more nations.

I've got Nobunaga trapped in Nixtorm with stronger armies in Dragnor and Valora so that he can't do anything. Now I'm just camping, evolving Warlords, and getting more Perfect Links. I imagine once I have the Gallery at 100%, I'll just speed through the rest of the episodes.

Also from what I've been reading, you can actually recruit the MC again in some episodes. He just doesn't become the lead Warlord again until the final episode.

Man, is it just me or is the difficulty progression kinda wonky? I steamrolled through everything, got stuck hard on Kenshin, and now I'm stuck on Hanzo. (not the rest of the fight, just Hanzo >_>) But I challenged the bird kingdom on a whim and wiped the floor with 'em.

spiritomb friggin' pisses me off it can tank everything I have and the only good counters I have die to the rest of the team and it can go through my guys and take the banner and regen and nothing can hit it after two turns anyway

I think it's normal for Hanzou to give you trouble. Spiritomb has no weaknesses and it also seems pretty bulky. If you feel you need to beat every enemy on that stage you'd probably be best off trying to poison it.
