Obviously, I'm after games that don't revolve entirely around talking, so whoever came in to say Ace Attorney- hi, you know perfectly well that's bleeding obvious, no need to bother typing it in. Nice to see you anyway.
Just finished Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom, where the final mission is stupidly easy, but is followed by a long cutscene with multiple dialogue branches, where you have to address the political assembly and goad Tolwyn into admitting his policy of ethnic cleansing without getting thrown out and arrested for treason. And it's amazing
There's also Mass Effect 1 and 3, where you can convince Saren or TIM to commit suicide. Any similar examples?

"My name is Ezio Auditore da Firenze, and like my father before me, I am an accountant" Nothing is true. Everything is tax-deductible
In fact, once you collect certain items, you are granted invincibility until you reach the game's end (which includes a cutscene instead of final boss battle). And somehow, the game is still really hard even with that.

ONLY FIVE CAN LADDER. Sushi, kamikaze, fujiyama, nippon-ichi...
Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark has that as one of the options, if you choose a specific quest reward in one of the main storyline quests. Other options include swords and fireballs.
If you choose to learn Mephistopholes's True Name you can order him to surrender IIRC.
I had no idea someone else around here had actually played wing commander IV
I've finished 1 through 4 (including all the expansions), and have Prophecy all lined up. And both Privateers. Although I might wait for GOG to get Prophecy DVD, and play Wing Commander Saga in the meantime.

After you stop Nessiah from freeing himself with the Gran Centurio reaching Asgard to get his revenge on the Council of Magi, Archangel Marietta shows up and tells you to turn back before you reach Asgard and relinquish control of the Gran Centurio or else it would be considered an act of war). You can either listen to her and get the "Power in exchange for wisdom" ending (the canon one), or you can choose to fight her instead for the "Advent of Ragnarok" ending if you win. (There's a bonus fight against one of the Council of Magi's Grim Angel prototypes as a shout out to Riviera in the PSP version on this route but it's beside the point).
Sort of the same thing goes for Melia's route in Knights in the Nightmare.
IIRC, if Melia didn't destroy Marietta's scepter earlier in the game, after beating Zolonark you have a choice of siding with either Melia or Marietta. If you choose Melia, you fight Marietta and get a bad ending with Melia fusing with Zolonark and destroying the world after you win. If you side with Marietta, you kill Melia and get pretty much the same ending as the Maria route best ending. I'm probably fudging it up a bit though.

The only certain death in the universe is Mother Hitton's Littul Kittons. Not changing this line until I beat Seven Heroes (2/24/07)
