i reverted my flash player back to a version from March 5th. then again, flash updates past then weren't working for me in 3.6 either. i thought maybe a new version of Firefox would help, but noooo.

is what i downloaded. though i'm guessing it won't help if you've been updating and it worked fine with 3.6.

AFAIK it mostly still uses Flash with some HTML5 trials here and there

Firefox doesn't use the correct HTML 5 codec, so no HTML 5 video use on FF. It's all flash.
