Microsoft is rumoured to announce Xbox Smart Glass to select attendees at E3 next week. Details about the device are scarce, but that hasnt stopped 14U from reporting that the device will ultimately kill the Wii U. Xbox Smart Glass apparently allows tablet access to the Xbox 360 and its cross-platform, meaning that it will work with Windows, Windows Phone, Android and iOS. Features of Xbox Smart Glass include:
-Will allow users to control their Xbox 360 remotely. Will be available cross platform on multiple operating systems including Windows, Windows Phone, Android and iOS. -Applications will be accessible through the tablet. Such as Youtube/Netflix/Vemo ect. -Live streaming ability through the tablet to the TV, desktop, lap top and other devices.
I love touchscreen controls where appropriate, but explain to me why the hell I'd ever want to replace the excellent X360 control pad with an on-screen analogue stick? They're horrible!
And can't pretty much all tablets already access Youtube/Netflix etc and stream media?

It sounds like a more involved version of their Xbox Live app for tablets/phones. If you can access your content through the app--videos, games, marketplace--this might end up making some waves.
