and then Snakes looks directly at YOU and nods while pointing his gun at Mantis

saying that hes got you covered

awww yea

Say what you want about TTS and it's over the top action scenes

knowing that Snake has your back is awesome

(I don't recall him doing this in the original, correct me of I'm wrong)

TTS is awesome and anyone complaining about METAL GEAR SOLID being over the top is so far gone that you should immediately stop paying attention to anything they have to say about anything

Twin Snakes is pretty underrated. As long as you pretend the first person button doesn't exist, it's better than the original. Of course, most people don't have that kind of restraint and with first person aiming all the bosses are broken...

TTS allowed you to do way more, but the levels didn't change.
That's really the only problem, but it's pretty big.

The over the top scenes are cool in my book, but a little out of place, even in the MGS world.

Yeah this isn't sound logic.

Ignoring the FPV might make for a better overall experience but it still makes the game badly designed.

Doesn't work. Snake has little flashbacks throughout MSG4, and half are taken from MGS1 and half from TTS.

I just wish they'd update Twin Snakes to be a bit more "definitive" and add it to the HD collection. There are some things it's lacking compared to the original. For instance, removing iconic stuff like the Game Over screen(and accompanying jingle) was a really bad move, and they should have used more of the original music. I also miss Mei Ling's cute accent, but it's no biggie.

the accent I can do without now, considering its been retconned that she doesn't talk like that in future games

TTS had far more problems than the cutscenes, which were only a problem in Snake's case. It's just a poor imitation of a great game.

Yeah it's sad how most people just complain about the "over the top" cutscenes over anything else in that game.

The controls just make it easier than it should have been, but that makes it a good intro to the series. The updated graphics and voices help with that, too, since it's easier to transition to MGS2.
