You could switch some around I think, but Church being first and Simmons being last is pretty undeniable.

Church, Caboose and Sarge are top 3.

That's unanimous.

As for the rest...I guess I can't really complain with the order. Might switch Donut and Simmons somehow, because some of Donut's stuff just bothers me way more.

Early Tucker and early Donut are so much better than they ended up being.

Mostly agree, though Griff cracking the top 3 as he is here isn't a terrible travesty.

Church > Caboose > Sarge > Grif = Tucker > Donut > Tex > Simmons

Which is kinda sad cause Gus is friggin' hilarious (both on the Shorts and in real life).

Tucker ends up becoming pretty badass.

So I have to disagree.

Badass? I guess.

Relatively unfunny compared to where he used to be? Absolutely.

I have to add, though, the early S9 version of Donut was actually pretty good. Maybe it would have gotten old after a little while, but in the short time it lasted it was thoroughly amusing.

And it's not that Tucker actually gets bad, per se. He's just amazing in Season 1.

So I have to disagree.

All of the freelancers are better at being badass in their own way than Tucker, though. And he only gets so many opportunities to be badass, anyways. When it comes down to it, the Reds and Blues are still primarily comedic characters, albeit in more serious situations these days.

Because he's only a legitimately prominent character in S2 and S7 (and sort of S9). Not that he's not great when he's actually around, he's just not there a lot.

I didn't forget about him, I just didn't include him because I don't think of him as a main character.

This isn't true at all. Lopez features prominently in every season except 6 and 8. Hell, DONUT wasn't in those seasons, either!

Hell, why didn't we include Doc? Yeah, he wasn't in seasons 6, 7, and 9 but he's pretty much a main character as well.

Do you include Doc/O'Malley as separate characters?

Because I definitely prefer O'Malley more.

I want to say "yes" but we don't have O'Malley spend enough time in someone else so I kinda just lump him in with Doc.

Except maybe Grif above Lopez.

I don't count Lopez or Doc as main characters. But if you wanna argue their points, I would put both of them under Tucker.

She's at least more of a main character than Lopez and Doc. She would go above them, while still below Tucker.

Lopez has about as much screentime as Sheila in most seasons, and less than Doc/O'Malley. Hell, Andy's in more of S4-5. Donut, while he's there, still has as much focus as the rest of the Reds and Blues.

I can see giving Lopez S3 as well, I suppose. Though in the first half of it he's literally just following O'Malley with no commentary.

Church, Sarge, and Grif Top 3.

I'm like 3 seasons behind at this point though. I really need to catch up again.
