I'm on my phone away from home and can't seem to copy the link but it's one of the most recent articles on Joystiq. If anyone would be so kind as to fetch the link (post it here) I'll amend this OP.
But for now, basically he says they poured their all into the first one.
Probably the most interesting part is that, according to that sales link, Resident Evil Revelations is actually doing fairly well after all. I remember hearing a lot of gloom-and-doom about that game's sales, so this is a nice change of pace.

It's gloom and doom for Capcom in a sense that they're not getting as much money as they care about to make a game.

I'd really love a console Kid Icarus, the Wii U can do the game just as well as it is on 3DS, but as a console game it could really expand on the awesome multiplayer.
I dunno about a strict sequel, but more games set in the same universe would be fantastic. Uprising created a really diverse, interesting cast of characters, all with their own histories and backstories that are only hinted at. Not to mention that there were a handful of events that we know happened during the main plot but which weren't ever explained in detail. Shame to think we're not going to revisit any of that.
