After keenly observing 64 tracks on the Chrono Trigger OST, which is of course the magic number, it seemed only appropriate to do a tournament of the songs from the game. Typical tournament rules. Everything should be rather self-explanatory. Matches last 24 hours or until I am available to tend to them, whichever is greater.

Last match the only remotely tough one. Wind Scene isn't one of my favorites but it's still pretty good. Ayla's theme is the easily the worst actual song in this group, while Robo's is great. Primitive Mountain is ok but outclassed. And really like both of the last two, probably the two best songs in this group.

Wind Scene - World Map Theme 3

So beautiful. Ugh, the song man, it brings a tear to me eye. Tells such a tale of knights and sorcery without getting too full of itself. Really just an all-around pretty, pretty song.

The Brink of Time

Two tracks that'd be upper-level in most OSTs but are kind of middling here. Brink wins for its deeper attachment level, really. Better memories. Neither does too much for me musically.

...my god what a brutal first-round match. This was damn close. "Epilogue" won me over by a ridiculously tiny margin.

The last match is the only one today that's close, but it's not really that difficult of a decision.

This contest is reminding me how good the whole soundtrack is, though.
