Board 8 > Has anyone here peeled shrimp before?

I can't help but notice that every time I get finished with peeling shrimp, my fingers kind of sting. It's just strange... I'm fine at first but around midway through it starts to kind of sting at around the end tips of some of my fingernails. When I'm finished there's this mild pain at the end of my phalanges.


What's the reason for all of this?

sounds like you have small breaks in the skin under your fingernails to me. Maybe you're cutting your fingernails too close? Or maybe the shrimp shells get underneath and are cutting you.

I have, and I don't have that problem. I don't think it's allergens though. Prolly what Gwindor said.

If I'm allergic to shrimp then that's just another pile for the "Life is Unfair" book considering shrimp is one of my favorite foods.


Guess it could be broken skin since it only happens to certain fingers. The bone thing still seems weird though, but maybe I'm just overstating it or something.
