I prepared myself with pin evo guides and methods of getting the different PP types but with the nature of the gameworld it's so easy to make a mistake and lose out on important pins that the guide recommends because the world isn't fully opened up yet... This can also lock you out of more areas as the game progresses. I know I should be patient, but the whole pin evo thing is so ridiculous and convoluted anyway that it's annoying even with a guide. Gaaah.

honestly, i wouldn't worry too much about pin evolution the first time through. it can really bog things down, and it ultimately isn't too important.

I beat the game without using a FAQ of any variety and never had this issue at all.

Pin evolution is a mess, yeah, but it can safely be ignored until the postgame.

Pins are the worst thing of that game

but you can easily bypass most of them and just use the ones you want that fit your playstyle

Unless I'm forgetting something, the pins they ask for are usually available in that day. Either from a store or from beating Noise.

Okay, I'm gonna try to just calm down and ignore most stuff. I will look at the pin evo chart, but I won't grind excessively like I've been doing, and I'll try to progress the story more than anything.

Ladders are a socially-acceptable way to reach your goals.

Everything is available again in the post-game, so it's really not a big deal if you don't get something immediately. Nothing in this game is missable.

TC, what you're doing sounds like an excellent way to not enjoy a game at all.

Throw those guides away this instant and never look at a guide again while playing a game for the first time.
