I just got a $600 bonus from work and am very likely going to get an iPad 3.
I know I have asked you this before and you know I have forgotten.
How easy is it to put comics on an iPad? Like, can I just drag and drop cbr/cbz files into a program and be done?
Do they have to be like the official digital versions or something like that?
I have had an HP tablet/laptop for a few years but she just bit the dust and this will be my first tablet (or anything like it) without an actual keyboard.
Also, if anyone would like to, please tell me why there is a better tablet (with a good, big screen for reading comics) because I am open to anything.

The main reason I am getting it is because my iPod (the 30 GB video version, over seven years old) is basically dead and my laptop (used for reading comics) is pretty much dead as well.
So it'll mostly be used as my new source for comics and music and I know I'm getting Shining Force for it.
What else should I get (especially free stuff but any suggestion works)?

ComicZeal is the app you want. It's just drag and drop. If you're getting comics through unofficial means, get the digital rips, as Comixology comics are now formatted for the new iPad resolution.

I think the new iPad is just the best out there. A couple months ago when there was just the iPad 2, I think all of those Android tablets actually challenged its title as the best on the market... with the iPad 3 I'm pretty sure nothing else comes close right now.
At least that's my opinion as someone who knows next to nothing about tablets.

What the difference between 2 and 3 other than the resolution?
Also I think it's pretty overkill to get an iPad or a Transformer JUST for reading comics. But I'm no comic reader so I dunno if there are any alternatives.

Yeah, kind of.
Two years ago, I bought an HP Touchsmart laptop. It has like a swivel and the screen folded around and it was like a thicker tablet (with a bigger screen).
But that one is almost dead and now I have a desktop so I don't want to get another laptop.
And as far as tablets big enough to read comics on, I don't really know of alternatives.
And it won't be JUST for comics. Definitely gonna put all my music on there and I'll have a few games and I'll probably use it to lightly browse the web while away from my desktop.

Faster processor, twice the memory and a quad-core GPU, as well as the ridiculous resolution. None of the apps have really taken advantage of the new hardware yet, so its pretty hard to notice the difference right now, but things should get pretty ridiculous in another 6 months.
