I have HDR for the 360, but I'm kind of completely terrible at it. There was a point where I could occasionally beat people online, but that was a long time ago.

Weakupedia posted... We all have a few games that we love that no one else seems to even be remotely interested in, and I wanna know what those games are!
This isn't about games you know are average but you love anyway--these are games you think do something particularly well that people just don't know about, and there's a decent shot that they might like it just as much as you do if they just gave it a chance! These games don't have to be perfect (they probably aren't, honestly) or even obscure, but if you have games that you think aren't appreciated enough for what they do well, post it here!
I'll start off with my own.
If you enjoy (J)RPGs: Wild ARMs 5 - Probably the best RPG battle system ever. Weak plot, but it's a blast to play through to the very end and has a ton of extra content. Valkyria Chronicles - So good. VC mixes strategy with real-time combat in a way that just plain works. There are a few unfortunate design choices, but this is a game that shouldn't be missed if you own a PS3.
If you enjoy action games a la DMC and GOW: X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged - A surprisingly competent and fun action game where you get to cut things up as ****ing Wolverine. Bugs and glitches abound, but a game that is totally worth a playthrough or two.
now you guys
I can't speak on Wild Arms, but I can vouch for Wolverine. I was expecting crap, but the game was good and surprisingly gory. It gets repetitive later on, sadly - the combat system is awesome but they throw the same boss-like creatures at you constantly :/

The board is very clued in to niche titles, the critically acclaimed and everyone knows about the ultra-mainstream. The slightly mainstream, reasonably well received and without niche appeal stuff tends to be the games that fall through the cracks around here.
I heard about this quite a while ago and forgot about it. I wouldn't have known that it came out were it not for your post, and it looks pretty great. Seriously thinking about picking this up. Thanks!
Friday The 13th (NES) - with the caveat they actually read some info on the game first... understanding the game mechanics makes what seems like a random game actually quite easy to understand, leaving a competent and somewhat unique NES gaming experience.
Firestriker (SNES) - a fun 2 player co-op, it is a more robust Arkanoid game with more character.
Xexyz (NES) - a mostly unknown Hudson Soft game, it has platforming and shooting gameplay (both stationaray screen and scrolling). It is just a somewhat strange game that has a reasonable level of challenge, well worth playing through and enjoying the oddness.
