Interview Friday at 12:30 PM for Home Depot.

It seems like basically a sure thing on account of meeting someone in the hiring process who got my foot in the door. The saying "it's not what you know, it's who you know" has never felt more true since this is my first real prospect in nearly a year. I'm not going to complain though, because it's so hard to find ANYTHING right now and so I just feel fortunate to have an actual shot. On top of that, Home Depot seems like a fairly 'stable' place to get a job where I can stay for awhile and finish my degree.

Out of curiosity, do you have a degree?

I'm in my first week of job searching after getting my useless History degree and I'm still stupidly optimistic that I won't end up at McDonalds even as resume applications disappear into the void with no response.

One of my good friends is wrapping up his four-year in Computer Science this coming semester down here at USF. (I live like four blocks from that campus so I'll quite possibly transfer over there once I'm done with my A.A. at the community college.)
