(that said, Marchand also doesn't get calls a lot on actual penalties - see game 6 when he was hit in the face, for example - so it probably comes out in the wash)

I've been rewatching the BRs with Suree and we're about to start the last disc of season 3 (not positive which episode because they stopped putting episode info inserts in the package starting with season 3, but I think it's 10.) I think I'm gonna start Homeland tonight, though!

also, Mad Men has, over the last couple weeks, stepped up its game big time. It's Monday night and I already want the next one. And I want to rewatch the most recent one. I've never felt that urgency with Mad Men before, to go immediately back or to want to go right ahead.

yeah, when it came to putting in the numbers (I do it at the end in an attempt to remove some bias), the zombies ranking felt a bit off. Love did, too, but I'm p sure I adjusted Forever Changes and just forgot for the zombies

only recently got into the mamas & papas! You can only cover so much

mad men is a show I rewatch constantly. After Suree and I finished "Souvenir," the first thing I did after she left was rewatch it again. I've probably seen it 6 times now. I love the framing of the bedroom scenes - Don always faces the window, even in Rome where he now "likes this side of the bed," while Betty is locked away inside, where she's free to "tell people of their trip to Rome." The next episode, Betty and Don have switched sides of the bed; partly so Don won't disturb Betty in the middle of the night, but also because Betty is about to engage on a new, freeing relationship.

I enjoy a rewatch, definitely, but never so close after it airs. This season seems to almost want to incite you to rewatch it shortly after it airs, which feels new

I don't think it's new. Granted, I haven't seen most of the episodes yet, but my guess is that you've picked up some new viewing habits since the last time we've had new Mad Men. The show has always encouraged multiple viewings, as any layered work should.

quick is not the only reason the kings are in the second round. They're a ferocious puck possession team with surprising depth and one of, if not the, best PKs left in the playoffs. They also have Dustin Brown, whose neck surely won't survive a long playoff run.

You surely don't pay attention to the Blues then, because they're regarded with one of the best PKs in the league. They also have a ton of depth and they're a very physical defensive team with fantastic puck possession. Which is why this series will be fun because both teams are almost identical.

Except the Canucks lack a superior goalie.

I'm not saying the Kings can't beat the Blues. But it'll be close either way. And it'll be super fun to watch. CAN'T WAIT.

the Canucks weren't lacking for goaltending. Even if Lu managed to steal one of his two games in net, the Canucks lacked any scoring threat at ES or on the PP. Look at the shot charts over the five games and you'll see what a tremendous job the Kings did in limiting any quality chances. Having 22 in for the first three games probably wouldn't change anything either, as while the Kings had trouble with the Sedins, they didn't have trouble with the Kesler or Pahlsson line.

The Canucks had serviceable, and then exceptional, goaltending. The Kings also had excellent goaltending. But the series wasn't won there.

I didn't say it was. Kings were clearly better than the Canucks this time. I don't actually think they were playing as well as they could have. Blues probably could have beaten them too. Just like they can beat the Kings. They can also lose to the Kings. It just depends on how they play.

I also didn't think the Canucks were a defensive team, at least not in the way the Blues, Kings, Predators, and Coyotes are. But of course I really don't pay much attention to them since I don't like the Canucks =/

So I can't really say.
