This is really a lot of fun, and I'm only on Mass Effect 1

Just got past the part where Kaiden dies. Ashley is much cooler than that dork. My poor female shepard will have to wait till ME2 for lovin.

Also Rollin with Earthborn, Sole Survivor, Vanguard if anyone cares. Also Paragon. I'll be an ass on a different character.

Hmmmm, I like the Captian, and I feel if he goes after the patrols hes gonna die...I think I'll have him break into then office, The Ambassador may be there, but its better just him than a bunch of patrol...

or he may die eitehr way....but this feels safer

Question

My side quests, do I get some sort of free roam later say after I beat it, or get to a "point of no return" to go back and finish them all? Like if I leave The Citadel now, do I not get to come back?

and if its a Point of no return (ala Fallout New Vegas). It does inform me someway right?

After Virmire (the mission you mentioned in the first post), you can only return to the Citadel once. As soon as you leave, it's off limits. I don't think there's a post-finale free-roam in ME1 (ME2 has it), so if you've got any unfinished sidequests that require you to talk to someone on the Citadel, turn them in before you leave.

The full PONR is landing on Ilos. As soon as you touch down, there's no turning back.

EDIT: Also, long term advice- don't be tempted to break Paragon for Khalisah. Sure, everyone enjoys the punches, but the Paragon interrupt in ME3 is one of my favourite scenes in the whole trilogy.

Yeah shes staying Paragon, I just started a new character that I'll use as Renegade

Thought about it, but I looked at ME2 romances and feel like going after this "Kelly Chambers". My renegade will get dat Alien booty (since Im killing Ashley on his to...you know be different).

Romances really don't make a difference at all. You just get short scenes and then it's like nothing actually happened afterward.

You get lots of extra dialogue.

Also you can romance someone else if you are insistent on romancing Kelly because either she doesn't care if you romance someone else or no one else views her as any sort of threat so they don't care about her.

I'm glad you're enjoying it, Coffee Ninja. One of my top three series after just three installments.

Hope you continue to enjoy it. The gameplay changes around somewhat throughout the series but the narrative gets better and better IMO.

I actually just finished Virmire on my current replay of ME1. Good stuff.

If you like the Vanguard in ME1 you're gonna love playing as one in ME2 and ME3. You'll see.

What class are you planning on making your Renegade? Infiltrator is my favorite, followed by Vanguard and then Sentinel.

ME2/ME3 Vanguard is definitely top-tier in many eyes.

Are the sidequests worth doing? I really should have paid attention to them more, cause I did some citadel ones and left, and now they all need to be turned in at The Citadel (which I can't return to)

I made my Renegade an Engineer...is that bad >_>

I only started him, like saved on Eden Prime after Ashley joins...can always change

Engineer is actually pretty fun. Kinda weak in ME1 but better in ME2 and really awesome in ME3.
