I had already started a new save file and got up to the Bionis leg. I was skipping most sidequests on this playthrough and then when I reached where my old save was I was going to switch over to my old save file that I convered to NTSC region and continue on that and go back to working towards 100% completion

I take it a boatload of them pops up after every few storyline segments? Because at least from the file baron generously provided for me, there are several but it hasn't been insane or anything.

But I'm literally at Frontier Village in the story, so I'm assuming it just adds a lot of them over time.

though it does have the absolute best chain of quests - though be sure to pick... Gowago is it? in a sidequest of him vs Cherri

Yea some only appear after story elements are completed/other quests in the village are done, but even still some of them only have quests/show up with their quests at certain times and its all throughout this 11 floor tree and there are some outside of it.

Oh, alright.

Yeah, I dig the layout of the place. It can definitely prove kinda irksome after a while I guess but hey, fast travel! I'm sure I'm not the only person who likes to jump from around the Chief's Hut and attempt to land into the pool of water at the bottom.

definitely feel more involved in that town than any other, what with you bringing in its residents, and how much you contribute to the town

Colony 9 kills this one. well, I never raised up Colony 6 that far, but Colony 9 is way more peaceful and enjoyable without needing to do everything for everyone. though I guess if you get into the quest game that Colony 9 can be just as bad

I love Colony 9, but anyone who's actually finished Colony 6 knows that it's the best town without question, thanks to the involvement you get as a player.

Loving Frontier Village. Today was pretty much Nopon Day.

*spoilers to Dinobeast fight*

I started at 10AM in Makar Forest about two minutes away from entering Frontier Village. After I entered, I spent the next hour-and-a-half exploring every level of the tree, day and night, meeting new Nopons and trading with everybody. I finally got Riki and the new girl into my party then decided to do a run from Colony 9 back.

At noon, with a party of New Girl / Sharla / Riki, I spent the next three hours making my way back to the swamp and finishing up a few quests on Bionis' Leg, mostly the Nopon at Travellers' Rest. Then the next four hours were spent doing quests for all the Nopon in the swamp, including about an hour trying to get up on a roof and on a high plateau. After that, just a calm run through Makar Forest and accidentally triggering the Telethia fight.

So, nine hours later, I'm pretty much twenty minutes forward into the story than where I began.

But at least Sharla and Meryl? Maile? Marly? Marle? Fina? Rebecca? Mage? are great friends now.

Also, Frontier Village is so much fun. If it weren't for Frontier Village, I'd have put down the game so long ago because the forest surrounding it suuuucks. Least favorite area in the game so far. Frontier Village is more than a bright spot; it makes the place tolerable.

Heh, glad to hear you're enjoying it! Definitely the one that gets the most complaints I think.

Every time I'm at the top and want to get to the bottom I jump down and not just aim for the pool but try to aim in the very center opening of the platform that's on the water
