From: OmarsComin | #251 I think those combo fighters are just beyond my comprehension
Marvel, Skullgirls, etc. I have no idea how they work and inevitably my friend and I end up mashing buttons and there's a lot of blocking and timeouts.
For Skullgirls at least just pick Cerebella, that way every time you drop your fancy combo you can just command grab and pretend it was an attempted reset!

I witnessed the computer do this once!

do any of you play ST on GGPO or HDR on 360 or PS3? I've got all of those and I'm not that good at SF2 but I like it a lot and would love to play some games.
I've got HD Remix on PS3 but the last time I tried to play it said something about renewing my license. Technically my brother bought it on his account and I was just playing it on mine since we shared a PS3 but since I deleted his account from my PS3 I'm not sure it works anymore. A bummer but I probably won't rebuy it.
AI double confirms everything into BANDWAGON RUSHDOWN.
Opponent Double makes it impossible to get close because of that ridiculous Cerebella ass attack. Damage to assists seems so minimal in this game. So even when you catch the assist and combo it I never feel like I did enough damage to do an outtake and force it in.
between 3s and sfxt, i think i like the way 3s feels better. i might feel differently once i get more into it and it becomes apparent just how top tier some of the characters are!
and i don't think i'll have much of a problem switching between 3s and sf4 since they're so different.
sf4 and sfxt are just similar enough, though, that playing one throws the other completely out of whack. also, sfxt just has too much stupid crap going on for me to bother.

SFxT has some problems, but it's fun to play, which is the most important thing for me. Timeout losses kinda suck, and the launch combos can get crazy, but it's fun. A 1v1 mode would be great.

they definitely are lopsided, but it's not so ugly that lower tier characters aren't viable.
the big problem is how good Chun is with minimal effort. you really have to know a lot of stuff to actually be good at Yun and Makoto. Chun is good once you learn a few basic things. that's the one thing about the balance I'd change if I was fixing the game.
I don't have too much trouble switching between games, I don't think. I do try ABC Launcher combos and to juggle after an air to air hit in SF4 sometimes, but that usually goes away after a few games.
maybe we can play SSF4 tonight since we can all agree on that at least
tbh I've warmed up to it as we've kept playing. I hated it for a couple years, thought it was okay "but not as good as ST" for a while after I bought it. but we keep running games and it grows on me. I like it as a game though there's a few things I'd change if I were king of the world.
