I'm a huge Castlevania super fan. I've played almost every game in the series (even judgment!) except for, notably,
1) legacy of darkness, which I'm saving for when I'm really bored because I actually liked CV64,
2) harmony of despair, because I never owned a 360 until now, so I'll play that soon too, and
3) Lords of Shadow, same reason.
So, I'm excited as hell! This will also be essentially my first real console game of this console generation (besides Wii which is kind of a separate gen sorta), and I know things are a lot different now, so I'm curious about that as well. I listen to the bombcast every week but don't give a crap about anything they talk about 95% of the time because it's all console stuff so...I don't know where I'm going with that sentence.
My Castlevania inequality going into this is something like, Sotn > OoE > Curse of Darkness > PoR > DoS > Rondo > LoD > AoS> 4 > X68000 > everything else I like but don't care about very much.
So, here we go.
(also, just finished Fez and loved it)
PRE-IMPRESSIONS:
Well I've heard it's surprisingly long, which I'm not really looking forward to, I hate long games. Also, screenshots look insanely nice. I know Patrick Stewart is biiig here, and I love his voice, so uhh yeah. I've loved 3d castlevania in the past, especially the ps2 games, so I should be pretty easy to please. Yep, here we go.
