so yea, I was one of those guys that has NO idea what Hunger Games was, why everybody was talkin about it, and what it was about so I went in Super Blind
but damn, I gotta say, it was REALLY good. Kept me in suspense and was anxious to see what would happen next.

I didn't like the final "Duel", it was something out of Disney, but the way they forced the officials to take back the revoke was pretty cool
also, Poor Rue =(
I'm kinda interested to see what the history and the background of all of this is.
I guess thats what the Sequel hook at the end is for!
I thought it was kind of dumb. I didn't really care about any of the characters, the action scenes consisted of quick cuts to the point you can't see what's going on in an effort to maintain a PG13 rating, and the premise has been done before multiple times, It was entertaining but... dumb.
I like it quite a lot too! Other than the stuff you mentioned, I also like the world-building, like how rundown District 12 is and all the glam at the Capitol. Then there's also the interviews, preparations, and such.

Oh, I plan on it! I'm going to the local library to pick up a copy of The Hunger Games as soon as I'm able and it's available. You are talking about THG right? Because I already read the entire Twilight series and each book is varying degrees of terrible.
I wasn't that sad at Rue's death because I was prepared for it. Not only was she a woman of color, she was also someone other than the main character and therefore someone who was gonna die from the jump.
That said, I still found myself getting attached to her because she was so gosh darn adorable.
she was adorable and of course you didn't want her to die and if she had to die you didn't want it to be by some ass-hat from District whatever spearing her to death.
