Oh, it wasn't that bad.

Chrono Trigger has a fun enough battle system, and being one of the only new additions meant I ate up every mindnumbing second.

This is an optional DS version only thing as far as I know.

What quest was that? I literally just played the game through, finishing yesterday, and I thought I did all the sidequests (at least, none of my party mentioned any others when I spoke to them at the End of Time)

Lost Sanctum and monster arena are just really, really bad. Best to completely ignore them until you do just about everything else.

That other DS dungeon that has a new ending is fine, though. Not amazing but far, far, better than Lost Sanctum.

Lost Sanctum is just level-grinding with an excuse plot tacked on. It's not mind-numbingly awful, but you'd be hard pressed to get genuine pleasure out of it.

The new content in the DS version should be rejected forcefully and disregarded when judging the quality of Chrono Trigger.

I'd just get them out of the way asap, if you do the Lost Sanctum last last most of the rewards and monsters will be underleveled and you'd have nothing to do with them except new game +. It's not even hard, just really boring and a ton of forced battles with annoying enemies.

Lost Sanctum was seriously terrible. I didn't even end up finishing it since it was so bad. Who the hell thought all that pointless moving around back-and-forth was a good idea?
