Nah, "Zebra" is a good one too. I just think "10 Mile Stereo" is the best on the album. I don't think Teen Dream is a bad album, just a terribly uneven one.

I oughta give Isn't Anything a listen too, but every time I try I just switch back to Loveless. Loveless is just so preposterously good, a top three album of all time for me.

also it is their best album by far

this is crazy talk. it's not a brilliant album, it's a very good one, and they already have one of those in their discography! it may be their best, an opinion I'd disagree with, but the only way bloom is in an entirely higher higher category is if you hadn't enjoyed any of their albums to date. which wouldn't make sense, considering the bloom praise!

now for something completely different: the new sun kil moon album is out, and I'm going to bed listening to it.

(also the MBV EPs are really enjoyable. put 'em together and you have a secret third LP)

I settled into liking Teen Dream more than their self-titled album, and I think Bloom is like a significantly better version of Teen Dream

among the leaves is heartbreaking and an awful summer record (why does koz keep releasing albums in the summer?), but it's still really wonderful and might be my favourite sun kil moon record. it's amazing how there's not really a bad song on a 73 minute, 17 track album.

also amazing is how many of these songs are about unnamed groupies
