I don't know anyone that doesn't have an HDTV except for one person that just plain doesn't have a TV (he doesn't play console games or watch regular TV)
Jakyl25 posted... From: Jeff Zero | #044 But seriously though, Super Mario World practically pops at me on my 2007 Trinitron. On my 2011 Samsung HDTV it... is very dark indeed. But yeah, will get S-Video cables now! Even if it still looks better to you on the Trinitron, you can at least use the S-Video cables on the Trintron itself to enhance it THERE. I'm sure any 2007 model would support S-Video.
yeah, I kind of intended to imply that was my plan but I'm super-tired today.
HDTVs are pretty much essential if you have a current gen console. Also, if you shop right, you can get a 32 inch for <$250. So it makes sense that most people have them now, especially since it's hard to find SDTVs now.

I remember when I was looking at TVs like that back in the early-mid 2000s. They were something like $1500, and were not 120hz.
TV prices have definitely dropped.
ya i was using a 13 inch tv from the mid 90s for a long time as my gaming tv in my room. I still dislike gaming's direction mostly, but when I finally got my 42 inch tv for $500 2ish years ago....my enjoyment for this generation went up a lot. I guess graphics do matter a bit for games.

I don't own an HDTV because I don't have a PS3 or Xbox 360. Also, I am waiting for more 1080p TVs to become more widely available in sizes of 26 inches or less. I want to buy a smaller HDTV because my room is fairly small, so I don't have the room for big HDTVs.
