I think I've had even more fun with single player games between friends in the same room. Laughing at a game, taking turns, doing silly ****.

My friends and I sometimes rent the absolute worst game we can find and take turns trying to beat it. Quite fun, for sure!

Single player with friends is pretty awesome for sure but I still prefer local coop more than anything. Especially once you inevitably start trying to screw each other over.

I've definitely had fun with both. Me and two other guys, one of whom I would never have expected to even want to play, all shared a file of Pokemon and would play it on the TV via Game Boy Player. It was real fun.

Also had a good time watching someone rage at the broken-ass bosses of EVO Search for Eden

but we had the most fun playing Super Bomberman 2 and Smash Bros
