Board 8 > New gaming site: Polygon [the verge][vox games]

I know a lot of you are familiar with The Verge at this point, which is awesome. Tech site, poached a bunch of guys from awesome sites, etc. They launched Vox Games awhile back, and posted on The Verge under www.theverge.com/gaming and now they're officially branching off into Polygon (still under Vox Media, which owns The Verge and SB Nation, my employer).

The website will simply be: http://polygon.com/ a post about the new site and the name can be found here: http://www.theverge.com/gaming/2012/4/6/2930103/vox-games-is-dead-welcome-polygon aaaaand I'm really excited about this, to even be associated with it in some way.

Christopher Grant, Justin McElroy, etc. Guys from Joystiq, IGN. Should be really awesome. Be excited.

Yeah, been looking forward to the name change for a while now. Trying to call it Vox Games just sounded weird.

Scott Lowe from IGN is joining them, too. Announced today. Read right over that. Really awesome. And yeah, Vox Games was definitely tough to say. This site is going to be ridiculous, if it launches with even a fraction of the fanfare that The Verge launched with.
