There are many users on board 8. Some are good, some are bad, but none of them are WiggumFan267. Wigs is something of an anomaly in that he goes beyond simple definitions of "good" or "bad", and elevates himself to a level that is both remarkable and worthy of lengthy discussion. With this brief essay I hope to touch on the many facets of WiggumFan267 that make him such a unique and excellent user and person. This will explore his history of posting on board 8, his many remarkable projects and his quite wonderful wit.

One of the first things you might notice about WiggumFan267 is his username. Yes, there are numbers in his username which many often think indicates a lack of class. I find this to be a myopic and archaic point of view anyway, but it is especially wrong in this case. I actually believe that the addition of the "267" gives the username an aesthetic value which I find to be very pleasing.

The username has other purposes, too. For example, it gives us an indication that the man we knows as Wigs is, in fact, a Wiggum fan. Though this is unclear, since he could be a fan of Ralph or Chief Clancy Wiggum, it gives us some insight into the things he likes. It shows he enjoys the television programme "The Simpsons", as well as giving us an insight into his specific tastes regarding that show. Either of the Wiggums are comparatively niche: notice how WiggumFan267 did not choose to name himself "SimpsonFan267". Wigs knows what he likes, and has the intellectual superiority to not simply mill towards the known and expected choice - he likes one of the Wiggums, he wants the world to know that fact, and I respect him for it.

Now we have explored Wigs' username, let us now move onto him as an individual person. As you might expect for someone of Wigs' calibre his interests are varied and his contributions are almost always solid gold. This is a consistent thing that I have come to enjoy about WiggumFan267.

For instance if one were to walk into board 8 chat right now one would see Wigs talking to the user "DPOblivion" about baseball. He makes contributions to the conversation such as:

woodwindwhrlwind 12:27 am
f*** that dp

You would also see excellent contributions like:

woodwindwhrlwind 12:25 am
this gametracker on yahoo
for fantasy
is really weird

This shows a passion for the sport, as well as an interest in the finer details such as how the yahoo gametracker works; what this does is establish Wigs has a keen interest not only in simply "baseball" but in points you would not usually think to analyze.

So thus far we have established that Wigs is not your normal, cookie-cutter individual: the analysis of his discussion of the opening baseball game of the season is concurrent with my opinion on his username, in that it shows a liking for the discussion of something that is perhaps not as well known or as frequently talked about. His intellectual authority is very strong for this reason.

Another reason why one might be willing to appreciate the wonderful brilliance of WiggumFan is the advent of a well-known and well-respected Board 8 institution - and I do not use the word institution lightly, but this has earned it. I am, of course, talking about ~Rate the Food~.

Rate the Food is something that many might find to be a rather simple or derivative project, given the fact that board 8 has been an ocean of daily rating topics for many a year. However, this is quite simply untrue. Rate the Food is a completely original concept because it goes beyond the excesses of everyday life. It is not a study in board 8's love of various media, like KCF0107's "rate the game" series. No, this is instead a study in something that everybody on board 8 can identify with - food.

Now, there are some exceptions to this - for instance, I imagine many other European users have not heard of "General Tso's Chicken."

However, that is the beauty of both food and the topic series "~Rate the Food~" - food is an incredibly varied and interesting thing, and no one person will know every possible kind of food. Rate the food promotes new and interesting foods. While "Rate the Game" achieves an identical effect with videogames, we do not need games for sustenance. A highly recommended food could change the way people live their lives, potentially giving them more pleasure if they try a good food they otherwise would not have tried without "~Rate the Food~".

That is the genius of this topic series. And the genius BEHIND that topic series? WiggumFan267. Here we establish that Wigs is not only a very clever man but we establish that he is something of a visionary and, some might say, a hero. In creating a fun topic series he also creates something that can help the rest of the board from both an enjoyment perspective and from a health perspective.

Few others can boast such an accomplishment, but WiggumFan267 does not stop there. For instance, have you ever seen the analysis of the GFNW phenomenon that was posted by WiggumFan267 several years ago? It was an original take on the situation that had never been seen before; it was beyond the simple "haw haw gordon freeman never wins" stuff that began to get kind of boring towards the end, it was a fresh idea. The idea that Gordon Freeman was somehow "infecting" his opponents and damaging their Round 2 and future contest chances was both wonderfully out-of-the-box but supported by great logic and evidence.

There are obviously several more points that one could bring up the extol the excellence of WiggumFan267. One of the several remaining ideas is his introduction of "Wigs points". Wigs introduced the Wigs Points concept several years ago and they are not easily won. The Wigs Points are an excellent idea because they combine humour with reward for hard work, knowledge and timing.

Truly it is only somebody like WiggumFan267 who could pull this off so effectively; many would forget about the award of points but Wigs gives out a consistent amount on a regular basis. Many might not have the necessary charisma to get the project off the ground, but WiggumFan267 did. This is impressive.

Another one of WiggumFan267's various positives is his liking of the sport Lacrosse. Lacrosse is something of a cult sport in a lot of ways, but WiggumFan267 has made a point to pay attention to this sport and I would consider him the foremost expert on it on board 8, or perhaps even GameFAQs. It would be all too easy to just be a mindless drone for one popular sport but Wigs, while still enjoying popular sports, makes an effort to heavily promote a less popular one. This is a noble goal and, once again, indicates a certain intellectual authority which obviously deserves both heavy praise and a significant amount of attention.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles is WiggumFan267's favourite game. From a personal perspective that is fantastic since it is also one of my own favourite games. Naturally, then, I am inclined to say that WiggumFan267 has quite excellent taste. I feel Sonic 3 and Knuckles is an objectively well-made game and that on the whole its quality cannot be ignored, even if you personally are not a fan of the Sonic series. So it is clear by looking at Wigs' favourite game that he is a man of taste that appreciates a well-made videogame.

Last, but most certainly not least, Wigs plays Mafia. I had little experience of playing with Wigs until recently but I was relatively impressed with his play, based solely on his remarkable persistence. Now my opinion on Mafia is relatively meaningless but I am sure I would not be the only person to think this.

In conclusion, then, Wigs is an outstanding user and human being, with many layers of depth. I consider it a privelige to know talk to him on a regular basis; he is simply the best. I believe many others would share this view.
