NO F***ING SPOILERS

He loves these books and has been begging me to read them for almost ten years. I don't read novels. I just don't.

I have been begging him to read several comic series for years. He doesn't read comics. He just doesn't.

So we struck up a deal that for every 20 pages of the Dragonlance series I read, he will read one comic book.

Read the first seven chapters of Dragons of Autumn Twilight while my students were taking a test today.

I like it quite a bit so far.

My question is, what comic series should I have him read? I was thinking Watchmen and maybe the new IDW Turtles series but I haven't decided yet.

A fire started by a rogue Wiimote incident no less!

I recommend you get him to read Invincible. I'd recommend Savage Dragon but that's less easy to jump into and the Ultimate Collection isn't out yet (in a couple months I think).

I tried to read a random Dragonlance book once when I was like eight years old. I was probably a wee bit too young to enjoy them. I imagine they are similar to the Forgotten realms books, and I've read tons of the Drizzt ones and those are a good time.

As for comics I have no idea, I don't really read comics.

Because I don't read novels or because of my possible suggestions for him to read?

there's a pretty narrow window of enjoyment honestly. at eight you were probably too young but anyone older than like seventeen or eighteen might be a bit too old to enjoy them as well.

that being said I did enjoy the books a bit when I was younger, and if you don't read a lot they will be great fun for you Anri.

I'm not trying to be condescending, that's just how it is. if that offends you, then, I dunno, deal with it.

It does not offend me.

I think I'll be fine.
