The NBA Ladder contest brings in new challenges each week as users try to advance levels. Users can join in at any time and still be successful. New users start at Level 1, weekly standings will be updated sometime on Sunday OR if the user has already reached the next level. We don't have off days like the NFL so you can go ahead and submit a prediction for two levels if you're waiting until Sunday to see if you advance. I'll try to get the new topic up each Friday.
Rules: - Picks for games that day must be made before the start of the game. Times are listed next to the game. - Weeks will run from Monday to Sunday. - Please state what level you are on. - COPY AND PASTE the schedule with the dates and remove the excess for your picks. - The Bonus deadline will vary week-to-week depending on whether it's game specific or league specific. - Number of bonus points is the tiebreaker. - DO NOT DELETE posts, you cannot change your entry to predict other games.
Explanation of Levels: Level 1 - Pick TEN games, bold your winners, at least FOUR must win. No bonus for having more than four. Level 2 - Pick TEN games, pick the AWAY team to win, at least FOUR must win. No bonus for having more than four. Level 3 - Pick THREE games: 30+ points, 10+ assists, 10+ rebounds must be recorded by someone or any combination of players playing. They don't have to all come from the same game. You must pick three games at once and are not allowed to change. Level 4 - Pick a team with a LOSING record (As stated in Post #2) to win a game by 10+ points. If no team does this, the team that won by the most will be accepted. Level 5 - Pick one game, choose three players for each game, all three players (or less if one player gets more than one) must be their team's leader in points, rebounds and/or assists. This can be changed due to injuries if you wish to. Tying with someone counts as leading. Level 6 - Pick one game, in that game, at least two people must not miss a shot. There are minimums, they are 4, 2, and 6 for field goals, three pointers and free throws respectively. If the same person does both or all three it does not count as two people. Level 7 - GAME OF THE WEEK: See schedule for the game. Must correctly guess 3 of the 4: winner, leading scorer, will either team win by 10+, and the leading rebounder. Level 8 - Same as Level 1, but you must correctly guess at least SEVEN. Level 9 - Same as Level 2, but you must correctly guess at least SEVEN. Level 10 - Same as Level 3, but you can only choose ONE game. Level 11 - Pick one game, Two players must shoot >55% or <25% taking 20 or more shots. Level 12 - Pick one game, One player must record > 45 pts, 25 rebounds, or 15 assists.
How to submit an entry: 1. Post your level. 2. Copy/paste the schedule, remove games until there are only the required amount for your level. BOLD your winners, LEAVE the dates. 3. Keep spaces to a minimum. 4. Post your Bonus.
Bonus: How many more teams will clinch a playoff birth or be eliminated from contention? (Currently: OKC, CHI, NO, WAS, CHA have according to NBA.com) (DEADLINE: Before first game)

No, I couldn't get them up because Menji never posted standings as of week 11, so I couldn't update it. And it appears that the other topic with the week 12/13 results has also purged, so Menji's the only person (that I know of) that has access to both those purged topics.
Since Menji has been having trouble keeping up lately, I will be tallying results every week after Menji gets the updated standings up. Though the results I usually give are detailed, even then, it only takes me 1-2 hours to get them. Not having to give detailed results makes it even faster. But I need the standings Menji! Hahaha.
The other topics that had previous results have now purged. I don't have those results saved, unfortunately. You'll have to go through the past few topics and update the standings, but the results are already there, so it shouldn't take you very long.
Congrats Dp! I saw the stats at half-time, and you were looking really good for the 30/10/10. Awesome that you got through, sucks that I've been here for what feels like 10,000 weeks...
In my opinion, a lot of people are severely underrating Gasol right now. It doesn't surprise me that he was able to get a 30 point game. All these hardcore Laker fans bagging on him is one of the reasons that I will never be a Laker fan. He's a legitimately good player that gets shafted because they don't want to bag on Kobe, even when he has the worst games ever. Hell, after Kobe hit that (lucky) 3-pointer for 11 points on 3-21 shooting, I saw a Facebook post that read "Lakers fans are sooooo lucky Kobe is the king of clutch" even though he was the reason they almost ****ing lost. Practically vomited all over my monitor.
