decent ranking. Id put season 1 jeff a bit higher though, it was so far his best season. Mainly due to the fact that the show seemed to originally be more focused on him and less on the collective group imo.

Season 1 has been my favorite so far though.

2 has some great parts, and is a solid mix between realistic and insanely crazy episodes, so i have no real disgust over a ranking of 2 > 1 > 3, but i feel season 1 was just a tad better.

Season 1 Chang is still by far the best non group member in the show's history, combined with what i felt was many more episodes that focused on different group member team ups for the sub plots.

I know people are gonna hate me for this, but this season has been way too much troy and abed. Its a great bromance and everything, but it seems like every episode this season those two are doing something weird and almost completely irrelevant to the rest of the group. The episodes that were funny to me were great, but it does get kinda boring every episode

Still, I do think S1 and S2 are really close to each other. S3 hasn't surpassed either yet but there's still time for it to catch up.

Yeah S3's Halloween episode wasn't as good as the other two. But it did have the best Christmas episode.

I don't really get all the love for the foosball episode. Not that I didn't like it, but Annie's Move and the documentary episode were both way better IMO. Then there's the big stuff like Christmas/Halloween/Chaos Theory, plus Advanced Gay and last week's episode...it's nowhere near my top 5 for the season.

But in retrospect, S3 has been full of a lot of awesome concepts.

Oh yeah documentary episode was incredible

But yeah S3 Halloween episode is incredibly underrated. Every single joke they made was perfectly executed, it provided deep insights into each character, and the study room storytelling premise allowed for the perfect blend of S1 campus-only style and S2/3 off-campus ridiculous costume style.
