I still remember my first reaction when he did that super jump on the train or whatever thing he did that started the whole descent into alien demon spirit crap. I don't know why I kept playing until the end...

Was going to mention this. I'd originally played it on PS2 then bought it on steam back when it was 2.49. Smooth sailing until those terrible stealth missions just killed all will I had to keep playing.

Aside from the flashback missions it's still a really good game though.

I have similar sentiments about loving the first half and disliking the second half, but that's not why I'm here.

One of my funniest gaming memories came from playing this game. I was with a friend when I started it and decided to do the tutorial first. Think the first one is like 'walk to the white circle'. So I headed over there and just as I was about to reach it, the power cut and the screen cut to black. Then my friend, without hesitation, yelled 'FAIL!' in my ear as loudly as he could.


Ha ha...no? Ah, you had to be there.

I heard the development team ran out of time or money or some other resource and had to slap the ending together. I don't know if that really explains the ending, though.
