128 of the most prominent Song of Ice and Fire characters have been placed in a bracket to see who the best character GRRM has ever created is! The most votes per round wins. The contest will continue until the most popular character in Westeros is crowned!!!
This contest can be found on 2 different boards, but only one vote per user will be accepted. The two boards are: Books and Literature and Gamefaqs Contests. Any suspicious votes will be discounted. Each character will be supplied with a link to Wiki Song of Ice and Fire that briefly describes them and their accomplishments throughout the series. There’s a lot of characters in this series, my hope is that these links will remind users who did what and when.

~ A round full of utter blowouts. There was one upset, but it was hardly one. 18 seeded Edmure knocked off 15 seeded Lancel with authority. ~ The Mad King kept things close early with Doran, but even that went the way of a blowout eventually.

(1)Jaime Lannister - Sorry Hoster, dead old men can't compete with the Kingslayer (17)Walder Frey - In the "dislikeable bat**** insane" stakes, Walder beats out Lysa for the Red Wedding (8)Barristan Selmy - I think Selmy's been given a terrible route here, he could've done a lot of damage as an 8 seed if he'd been in Dany's section! Oh, and noone cares about Jeyne Westerling (24)Shae - Eh, Shae won't win anyway, and she's far more interesting than Drogo, Drogo's more a plot device for Dany while Shae's an interesting character in her own right. (5)Joffrey Baratheon - Sorry Arthur, you are badass and I do love you but I loathe Joffrey more. (21)Mirri Maz Duur - Don't care about Areo, and Mirri is an interesting character with reasonably deep motivations. (4)Samwell Tarly - Dontos never really did much of anything, and Sam's awesome. (20)Qyburn - Myrcella never really did much of anything, and Qyburn is ****ing despicable, one of my most-hated/feared characters in all the books. May well beat out Ramsay and the Mountain in the "characters you wouldn't want to be left alone in a room with" stakes.

Tragedy struck my household when a neighbor ran over my Comcast cable with a tiller while creating a garden. I had no internet, cable tv, or landline phones for three days. Couldn't get online at home, where my desktop has all of the saved data for the contest on it.
Problem will be solved today and the new round will be up tonight!
