...press every statement during cross-examinations, or do you just go straight for the contradiction?
Also, during investigations, do you try to examine everything and present everything you can when talking to people? Do you do that before or after you talk to people?

"I couldn't stand a day without a past or future. I need to live each moment to keep fighting here and now."
Press everything, although it makes for some annoying gameplay at times. Like when there's nothing interesting, and it's just the characters going "IT'S OBVIOUSLY THIS THING! WHY HAVEN'T YOU FIGURED IT OUT YET?"
I don't like presenting too many items to people because it pretty much never pays off. At best there's like one or two extra responses.

All of a sudden, I'm really hoping that they use a sandwich as a murder weapon in the next game...

I'm sorry, I'm not allowed to talk about the case with you.

There never was a post. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and refracted the light from Venus.
I can't even imagine someone who doesn't press all the time for their first playthrough. I even got tempted to restart my game if I press and it ends up progressing the game!

Press everything, present everything. Though I rarely intentionally provide wrong evidence or choose game-ending decisions, since most of them are just "Duh, Phoenix, that's the wrong answer. GUILTY"

Yeah, but there's always unique answers when someone asks for evidence. In fact, sometimes, you even get specific answers if you present a certain piece of evidence.

Me too! It really annoys me when they do that, so I always try to pick up on when they hint that pressing will cause an automatic progression and then do all the other statements first.
I save, try to figure out in my head what will advance the plot, and then do everything but that. If I'm wrong, and one of the things I thought wouldn't advance the plot does, in fact, advance the plot, I reload and avoid it until I've seen all the other lines.
I think there have been a few times where I'm so excited to nail the contradiction that I don't stop to find every line of dialogue, though.
