It makes me sad that things have to become a national story before the public will be sad about the death of a young black man. I live in New Orleans. 120 black men under 22 are murdered here every year for a rainbow of reasons. Not a single one makes the National news.

^Are you really going to try and victimize whites here, SMuffin? It's common knowledge that being black means that you're not getting TV coverage for tragedies nearly as much as if you were white.

I'm confused by the case now. Zimmerman claims he was attacked, and one of the witness reports puts Martin on top of Zimmerman. But then another report puts Zimmerman on top of Martin.

So much conflict over the facts in this case. Just to prepare everyone, Zimmerman will never be convicted of murder. Maybe manslaughter, but murder with things this muddy is just an impossibility.
