I have a problem with my Wii CCP: if I do a QCF motion facing right and a fireball doesn't come out (say for instance that I already have a fireball on the screen and try throwing another one) I jump forward a lot of the time. Here's the thing, though: I can only make this happen on one of my two controllers. The other Wii CCP seems to function great.
So if any of you could test whether it happens to you, I'd be grateful. If it doesn't happen to you I can probably safely assume that one of my controllers just has a defect.
actually I'm already pretty sure I just have a broken controller. I mean it's a cross dpad and not a floating one. this kind of thing shouldn't happen. this dpad is operating like it's a 360 pad for that specific direction. just messed up probably. so even if I don't receive confirmation I'll probably just go buy another controller.
maybe I can take this one apart and see if there's something mechanical and obvious for curiosity sake
also I'm sure I've mentioned this more than once but the CCPs really are great. next best thing to a DS2
I like the buttons, the shape, and the dpad. I prefer the DS2 dpad but they're pretty close. analog sticks are a bit flimsy but I can live with them. also it could be a little heavier but I think I'm just describing the DS2 and everyone already knows that controller is excellent.
alright thanks pun. just gonna go buy another one then! I've got a pair of CCPs hooked up through a wireless mayflash adapter as my computer controllers, and this is the one issue preventing me from loving them optimally.
Dual Shock is my favorite controller, yeah. I like the setup of the CCP, but I don't like how light it is or the buttons / analogs.
One thing I like about the CCP more than the DS2 is that the buttons are all digitial. I agree that the DS2 is better in most other areas (though I think it's slight) but I really prefer having solid digital face and shoulder buttons.
but yeah it needs to be heavier. does the controller even have rumble motors?
while we're talking controllers, I wonder how the DS1 is. I haven't owned of those in a long time. I know that I don't like the DS3 nearly as much and that the dpad hurts my thumb on that one, but I suspect that's not the case for the DS1.
D-pad on the DS3 is fine to me. It seems raised slightly more than the DS2, but I've never had an issue with it. It's actually my favorite one, if only for wireless and being able to be recharged through the PS3. Also, no disconnects!
